Scams
I have read about people getting letters from Nigerian princes or grandchildren stranded in a foreign country but it has never happened to me. Until this week. I have received two letters from so-called friends who are stranded in London because someone stole their credit cards and they can't get home without my help. I heard from one saying to ignore the email as she is here and is fine. In both cases, my friends and I have a Yahoo listserv in common. We all retired from the local school district and keep in touch with the listserve. We also belong to Facebook. I will have to be alert to such things now. Watch out, Nigerian prince. Sorry, friend, I have no money to get you home.
