Cats and Dogs
I am a dog lover who currently is owned by a cat. I used to have an orange tabby cat named Michael Rabbit. His buddy was a calico named Michael Tigger. They were my grandcats, named by my son and his roommate who were both also Michaels. They came to live with me when my son moved home for six months. He moved out. The cats stayed. Both cats had long lives-one 17, the other 19. At the time I also had a dog named Duke. He was a shepherd-terrier mix. He looked like a small German shepherd and barked at anything that moved. He was my granddog. My daughter left him here when she moved to an apartment where she couldn't have pets. He lived to be 15. My animals always live a long time. My cat now is a dark gray named Dudley. He is a rescue from my neighbors who couldn't keep him anymore. He is 12. He has diabetes. I have had him for two years. Cats are easier to take care of than dogs, but I really would like another dog. Dudley just looks at us with a frown on his face, like Why are you just sitting there, do something for me. A dog looks at you with a big grin full of love.
