After I was single for a while, I tried those on-line dating sites & met a few men (I refrain from using the term "gentlemen" for good reason)First of all, since I live in such a remote place, none of them wanted to come meet me so I merrily went to meet them (mistake #1). What a freakin' disappointment they ALL were! You can post anything you like about yourself, you can post the best picture of yourself from 20 years ago, but when it comes down to meeting them in real life - oh man! I quit doing that years ago & because of that I'm not into "blind dates." It would be nice to meet someone for companionship only at this point. I've been single since '99 and have to admit I've become set in my ways & enjoy my independence a lot!! I find that men my age are just too OLD for me (without sounding like a cougar!) But again, it sure would be nice to have somebody to go out to dinner/movie/theater/Sunday drive with . . . what's your phone # Randy?
I have a hard time finding a book that will keep me interested due to my odd interests. I'm currently reading "The Persian Pickle Club" by Sandra Dallas. Written in '95, set in Harveyville, Kansas back in the 30's, about a group of local ladies dedicated to improving their minds, exchanging gossip, quilting etc. Not my favorite genre of book but I'm enjoying it as the characters jump out at you AND I'm just about finished the book! That's a good thing - for me anyway
All the pictures look pretty familiar to me living here in Eastern Ontario. We still have a lot of the white stuff from the storm last week. But on the bright side, it makes everything look so clean - hides a multitude of sins. Really happy that I don't have to drive out in it anymore . . .
How are you feeling these days my friend? - hope all is well with you & yours
Bake me a dozen please (if they're chocolate - my favorite)The decorating is most artistic!!
Good ol' RC Cola, the king of colas. Them thar was the days. Been livin' here come up from the Big Smoke nigh on ta 26 years now. Took me 2-3 to understand many folks due to their heavy "valley" accent. Very reminiscent of "down east" (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia etc.)and after all this time I find myself ending most of my sentences with AY? I still laugh at some when they say "chimley" (chimney), "melk" (milk), "Rayfield" (Raphael)funny that . . . .
love it
I'm sure that you will find some place of interest 'fredo & there are lot's of super travel deals available too. Keep looking, you'll find one
Let's go to Florida, Cuba or Mexico for a week Randy! We all need some of that healing that only sun & sand can provide. You can go fishing, golfing or whatever - I'll be on the beach sipping on gin & juice getting a killer tan . . .
Seek and ye shall find! And know that YOU are an inspiration to those around you (near & far)
I will say a prayer for you my friend - be well
I hate to ask you Marg but how was the movie?? I loved the first Sherlock Holmes flick & am looking forward to the sequel . . .
What you've gone through there in Texas is pretty much the same all across Canada concerning licencing on ANYTHING! But how come if I have to wear glasses in order to drive, am I not allowed to wear them for my Passport or Visa picture? Whatever . . . .
What a nice event in your life! I was lucky enough to have most loving parents & I brought up my kids that way too. Now that my parents have gone to glory, it's so nice to hear grown kids speak their affection for their mother. As I progress I'm finding that loving gestures ( a word, a hug, or a kiss)mean more to me than money. Guess I'm just a kissey face, huggy body kind of person . . . . P.S. My oh my - what a handsome fella you are!
As long as you know what YOU'RE talking about, that's the main thing. Sounds like you're having a problem with "balance." You are not & have never been an "Outside Friend." Please never change - be your sweet self. Give yourself some time out there m'girl. I went through the same thing when I moved to this town 26 years ago. Relax, breathe & keep smiling (that'll keep 'em guessing)
