Greetings and salutations from north eastern Ontario, Canada.
The damp rainy days, cool nights, mosquitoes, blackflies, spring greening and explosion of swamp ferns - all signs of warmer, sunnier days to come.
My trip to Florida was wonderful - chalk it up to another positive life experience.
The climate there jump started me into a summer mode most definitely.
The rush of the river here at the end of my garden will constantly remind me of the restless and endless sighing and shifting of the ocean waters.
I made friends with the ocean after all these years.
Finally learning how to play and have fun with it but never completely letting my guard down. I respect its power and magnificence. Wonderful.
I learned more about myself last month.
Being alone in a strange environment can test your senses.
I've proven to myself how courageous and adventurous I am, my sense of organization, my need for companionship, and most of all - my inability to stay away from Goodwill and thrift shops!
Returning home, seeing my family and all they have done for me while I was away was phenomenal!
Four days have passed already and I'm still unpacking!
My mind is full and it will take time for digestion and to fully realize just what I've experienced.
It's all good.
I've missed y'all and hope to write more soon and post some pictures (I took close to 300!!)
