Feeding cows is not rocket science. It is rather simple. One goes out early in the morning while the ground is still frozen and flakes off one piece of hay at a time so that all the hay is not in one big pile. It is really best if there are two people involved. One person to drive the truck and one person to feed off the back of the truck or trailer. Now, this is just not a difficult concept.
Well.... my neighbor just can't get the hang of it. He waits until middle of the day or later to feed when the ground is soft and muddy. By then he is afraid to go out in the field, so he feeds along the muddy road in the meadow. He feeds most of the hay off in two big piles.
The results..... he gets stuck every other day, especially when he gets in to an area where JR has plowed the year before. Then the other neighbor has to come down and pull him out. The two big clumps of hay get trampled as the cows fight for eating position and so most of the hay ends up mixed with mud. That means a lot of waste.
This morning, I went out at 7am and fed by myself. I did a perfect job, but now.... I'm exhausted and my back is hurting.
Excuse me for labeling and name calling, but I just have to get it out of my system. My neighbor is an IDIOT !!!!! Worse yet, he is a DRUNK IDIOT !!!!!
Now I feel better. lol
