If the poll is accurate.... Obama definitely could win these race. I see it was done by the University of Wisconsin. I just happened to think about a local issue in California and a poll that was done by my former alma mater, University of California Stanislaus. The students were to do the random calling. Well.... seemed they were busy with finals and term papers, so most of them didn't make any calls. They just made up the results and turned them in to the professor who published them. Bad move!!!! Someone bragged about it and then it got back to the school and the prof. was reprimanded and the students got expelled. What a local scandal. But... I'm sure the above poll is all very scientific and above board.

Hi Kristy. I know you are a very compassionate person when it comes to animals and I know that such abuse really touches your heart. The people that do this sort of thing are completely sick. Most of us who raise animals or even those who find themselves working in slaughter houses, would never engage in this kind of horrible behavior.

Still... you do need to take Strider's advice and focus on the good things in life because just thinking about the bad will take away your spirit. There is a lot of bad in this world, but it will always be with us. There is no way to rid the world of all the bad. Do your part to fight the abuse and the bad... but keep balanced.

I'm hoping that maybe my reply and those like Strider's will help you to smell the flowers in life.

Don't throw your victory party yet. I was born in 1948 when the biggest election upset took place with Truman defeating Dewey. I wonder if there was voter fraud involved.... Truman was a Democrat. Just joking.... Truman reminded me of my Dad... an honest man. Sadly, he spent most of his White House years living there alone. Bess didn't like Washington, so she stayed at home.

What a story. Moral of the story... no more cheap pastry brushes. Since you are sending the $50 back to the company with an apology... you might as well call the pastry brush company and let them know what has happened. Maybe, they will investigate and send you some money. Or.... they might just send you another one of their cheapo brushes.

I'm not voting for Obama, but I am concerned about the "Palin Effect" and as far as McCain looking white and pasty. He may just need to hire a new makeup person... his current one may be doing a bad job. Nixon had that problem once and it cost him the election against Kennedy.

p.s. In my opinion, Obama is not an honest person and that dishonesty may effect our whole democratic system of government. I fear we may continue to see government grow under an Obama administration and a faster slide toward socialism. Obama, like the Clintons, has a total one world view. I want to see our President put American first and not play into this one world system.

Hope you don't mind me adding my opinions to your blog. Annie :o)

Strider... I don't have much respect for the last few weeks of McCain, either. Fact is, I haven't been happy with McCain all along. But I plain don't trust Obama. Too much unknown there and too many controversial associations. His so called mentors, his choice of pastors, some of his wife's statements.... he scares me. Maybe I'm completely wrong, but I have to go with my instincts on this one and they are telling me, "Obama is much less than truthful... he is portraying himself as something he is not."

Thank you Strider that we can have a calm and intelligent discussion and even disagree and there isn't any nasty mud slinging. I've read too many blogs where the bloggers seem to want to "duke" it out.
