I came by to see what is going on at your place. I love to hear about your gardening. I miss gardening, but with my back... it is just out-of-the-question. Your life right now reminds me of my life on the Walnut farm in California. I grew a huge garden, canned fruit and jams, dried fruit, and gathered walnuts and almonds. I always loved walnut harvest. The whole family worked together to bring in the 40 acres of walnuts. Those were good times.Enjoy your pear upside down cake.

I don't think I am denial.... I know this is a hard fought race and there is a good possibility that McCain could loose. I'm not happy about it, but not in denial. Actually, I really don't care about McCain... I just don't like Obama. My candidate bottomed out a long time ago.
I loved the audio book. And yes... I thought of Fried Green Tomatoes all through that book. I thought it was the voice of the girl on the audio book that reminded me of the young Izzie in Fried Green Tomatoes. But, I wonder if it is just that slow layed back Southern way that is the same. I want to see the movie, too!!!!
