My newest baby calf did manage to nurse. They are both alive yet this morning (mom and baby). But they are struggling. The baby is still having troubles standing for any length of time. Getting up is a real struggle for it. I don't know if it is a boy or girl as we forgot to look yesterday when we were fighting to get it born. Mom is really stoved up in her hind quarters, but she is walking and eating. All good signs, but just not out of the woods yet.
