Hiding

Seems that lately I just can't shake this depressed mood. I'd rather stay in my pajamas all day and sleep. It is my way of not having to face life and its responsibility. A TV news person commented the other day about "left wing bloggers who live in their pajamas all day." Well, I'm a right wing blogger who often does the same. I need to start getting up earlier, getting dressed, and facing this world. Easier said than done. Depression is not easy to overcome. I know... I've battled it for years.

I hope that in the next life, I come back as a cat. Then I can sleep all day without feeling guilty.

I understand well where you are at. I sleep knowing that all my worries can't really find me there. It's hard to face things when you don't know what you can honestly do to change them. At least that is how it is for me.
I am trying to be optimistic, telling myself that somehow I am going to get a job and somehow our life will continue on here in our home. But I also know that "somehow" we may have to make changes too. I feel for you.

I know that feeling. The first winter I stayed here in Las Vegas it seemed like there was nothing worth getting up for, but we made some changes here that improved things. In Colorado I sometimes have a 'lie in' as the English say until 10 am or so, reading or dozing after haven woken up at 4 am and finally gotten back to sleep. I don't feel guilty about it, though I can understand how you feel and it sometimes crosses my mind that if I would get up early I might see some wildlife in the yard. There are whole days when I don't leave the house much less drive to get the mail, but keeping the Netflix DVDs turned around is a good motivator.

Cat's definitely like that kind of life. I wish I could fit more days like you are describing in.
