Resent Not
There are no justified resentments. To resent someone is to fall under the illusion that they are the cause of our suffering. No one can die from a snake bite. It's the poison that kills them. You may receive the poison of another’s words, or even just in a glance, but you don’t have to absorb

it or allow it free passage through the veins of your consciousness. The consequence of not absorbing the poison of others is you never experience enmity towards others. And people notice when you have absolutely no enmity. It draws them close, it empowers them, it builds trust, it enables harmony to break out!

Our main charge in life is to work inwardly. Our perceptions are contained within the many boxes we operate from within. All of those boxes are transparent but still, they are tinted. The inner work allows us to begin freeing ourselves from the confines of those boxes. As it progresses we see the tint that has colored our perceptions of the world around us. Soon the boxes all fall apart one by one and little by little we become "free".
(No one is ever free as long as they think the soul is entrapped in the box we call, "body").
The outer vision becomes the inner vision and visa versa.
We become aware of the snakes that carry the poison. Before we would have trod upon the snake and having been bitten we would have cursed it when our state of unawareness was to blame all along.
Now that we have become aware we bless the snake because it is our brother - sister. As is all things and everyone else on this planet.
The snake's bite reminds us that we weren't aware of its presence. Thus we learn through many lifetimes to seek the inner way.
Once therein others see that within our every movement, relaxed and free of desires and hurry. We shine with the effulgence of the sun from within.
They either will love us or hate us.
