Sometimes Food Just Isn't Good!

I will eat, taste, try any food at least once and I was intrigued by Healthy Choice’s advertising for this new line of items. Eating the plant based fiber bowl after eating the contents I thought was something unique. (See the lower right hand corner.) Well, folks, it still is as you don’t eat the bowl. At least you wouldn’t want to even if it was edible because do you really like cardboard because that is what it tastes like! Hey read the first 6 words of this paragraph! LOL
In any case what was in the bowl wasn’t any better as it was very dry and tasteless, including the sausage, and it may have been ‘Cuban-inspired’ but I don’t think any Cuban would say they made this without adding a sauce!
Guess this is one selection of foods I won’t be buying again.

At least you can add the bowl to the compost. Then it will come back as a tomato or whatever is planted in the new soil! That must be the way to make the #### taste better.

I found this in an 'archive' article from 1983: "Frozen Food Age, a trade publication, called 1983 the frozen food industry's best year in the last six. After relatively flat results in that period, retail frozen food sales climbed above $13 billion last year, up from $12.3 billion in 1982.

And the main reason, the publication and industry analysts say, is this relatively new generation of premium frozen meals designed to appeal to the younger, more affluent, more health conscious and sophisticated shopper, a target much sought after these days."

That's a description of you, Martin: younger, more affluent, more health conscious, and sophisticated. Well, three out of four isn't bad: I'm counting 'young at heart' as younger.

I'll take the younger and leave it at that!

All the Healthy Choice items I've tried taste like cardboard. I just rediscovered Amy's frozen Vegetarian Chili, which was surprisingly good.
