Hmm. Cable companies couldn't really get away with eliminating public broadcasting, could they? Are they required to pay for that station on a parity level with other local broadcast stations? Why not boost the fee? Sure, cable would pass it one to subscribers, but given all their other fee increases, who would notice?
Rent the space shuttle and we'll have an orbital party!

I gotta say, it seems like being fixed makes life SO much easier.
Giant greyhounds--Scottish Deerhounds and Irish Wolfhounds-- are Human's favorite kind of dog. I have my doubts about any kind of dog that could eat me in one bite. Human is figuring out how much we'd have to boost the income to afford one.
If she gets one, can I come live with you?
That's going to inundate the Georgia barrier islands, and leave the coast vulnerable to all sorts of stormy nastiness. This just keeps getting worse and worse. Human says we're abandoning our plans to retire to the beach.
Is our favorite. Human wore the album out back when albums were vinyl. Enjoy for us, please. Gone to YouTube to reminisce.
I've never seen "Glee" either. Tell me, does it include a character that disapproves of homosexuality? If so, it's balanced, and Bozell should get his nose back in joint.
My formative movie was National Velvet. Liz rocks!
Only Valentine I got, oddly enough. Probably because I'm fixed. Anyway, happy Valentine's Day to you, too!
Feel free to grump. My human grew up in Macon, Georgia, smack dab in the middle of Sherman's march. Please be sure that folks there know that bit of history. "That's the 'new' courthouse," they say in the outlying towns, "that they built when Sherman burned the old one." There is a visible difference in the age of buildings within the strip of devastation and outside of it. Folks there still grump about Sherman, and yes, we apply the lesson--the Iraqis and Afghanis and a long list of other folks are still going to be hating America a century and a half from now.
Have at it, although I take no credit for the pictures--they were stolen from... aw, just click the link!
This is sad. I've never known overbearing evangelism to bring anyone any closer to divine truth, even though my human goes to one of Those Churches. Only Ceiling Cat can open hearts, and it isn't up to us to judge the direction in which He chooses to open them. But then, I'm a cat. What do I know.
It happened to newsgroups. It happened to email groups. It happened to message boards. It happened to MySpace. It was only a matter of time until FaceBook went commercial.
I would kiss your pic but I ain't got no lips. *headbonks you instead*
