Falsebook

Rumor has it that Facebook has been to the vet and got the thermometer stuck you know where. They are meant to be deleting animal accounts again. One furriend says she lost 168 buddies today. I'm glad we have a no stress alternative like MyBloggers.com!

I don't believe FB is deleting accounts set up as pets. This rumor happens too frequently, just about every time they lose a server to a crash somewhere. My own web site was unavailable to me for updating for a week recently because the server farm got moved from Orange County CA to LV, NV. and they forgot to give me the new path instructions. Poo happens.

It does happen every time you lick your bum, doesn't it? Phooey on it. I sent my email addy to a number of cats I regularly interact with (ask Hobbie if he doesn't already have it, will you?) and checked back in here. Delete away, FaceGestapo!

It happened to newsgroups. It happened to email groups. It happened to message boards. It happened to MySpace. It was only a matter of time until FaceBook went commercial.

Facebook doesn't have much a sense of humor does it? What's the difference between setting up an account in your cat's name and setting up a blatantly commercial advertising account for a business? Pretty soon it's all going to be ads just like television and the Internet.
