Winter Day Dreams

Hello to you all. We are having a football playoffs weekend here, a warm-up for the Superbowl.

This is at the airport near my home in Colorado. It's the airport where my dad hangered his plane, and it was similar in size to the one in the picture. I like this scene because the resolution is spotty, and it looks like a painting more than a photo, and I like how the foothills look there in background.

Here is how it probably looks at my place in Colorado right now. The fish are under the ice, lying low, waiting for warmer weather.

Smart Floridians hibernate (except those who make their money in 5 months to live on for 12) during 'season'

It's really something to see how the winter residents in Phoenix get the heck out of there in the summer. The ones who don't have homes up north find elder hostel accommodations on college campuses.

I love how there is a hint of sunlight gold in the upper left-hand corner, just touching the tops of the trees.

We are far from spring here in crisp, cold Northwest Ohio, but I like to think that I, like the fish, am patient, waiting and enjoying the frosty beauty of wintertime. Love your photos!

I hope there is a lot more snow before spring comes. Our wettest months are supposed to be March and April, but we could use some in the next couple of months.

Would love to see your Colorado spring ...
I like the airplane "painting".

Spring is my favorite time there in Colorado. This year I'm telling myself I'll trim some of the bushes while they are leafless because the bare sticks will be easier to dispose of.

Just looking at that photo of the winter river makes me want to put on another layer of clothing... even tho that's about what my place looks like, minus the river.

I'm going there in early March, and am going to walk across the ice to the parts we don't get to in the summer.

Once our football season is over with the Super Bowl, spring brings the basketball playoffs that last forever.

We almost had spring here today--39 and sunny, but that winter stream reminds me a place I used to hike on the eastern side of the Catskills before I moved.

It's been warm this week, but a cold front is coming through, slight chance of snow for Las Vegas.

We are having the Orange Bowl this week and with the winter storms up north we are overcrowded with football fans and tourists---UGH!

My area sent a lot of fans down for the Orange Bowl. NIU Huskies.

Tourist season must be something down there.
