More Windy and Cold

For a treat this morning I decided to turn the thermostat up to 64 degrees. Usually I keep it at 61 during the day, 60 at night. I get by with lots of layers - long johns and sweaters, but with the wind blowing there are drafts here and there in the house and I get tired of it.

Today's high temperature is supposed to be 40 degrees and windy. I'm spoiled because it has been so warm up until now. I know other parts of the country have been getting snow, so we're just catching up.

This time next week I'll be in Las Vegas, and a day later I'll be in Orlando. It will be a nice break from the weather here, but I'll be back here before Thanksgiving.

I have to have hot fires in the fireplace. China needs it too, she is much more pleasant when she is good and hot. She worships the electric blanket.

I need 74 degrees. We have chilly mornings but they are not serious. By 11 a.m., temp is 79 outside, but a cool breeze blows. No humidity, the best time of year down here.
