This is a border I bought to maybe use in one of the rental cabins. It looks just like my river. My problem with it is that it repeats too often: too many fishermen. I have considered cutting out some of the men and splicing the border back together so it looks like more river. I could also color some of their clothes different colors with a Sharpie so it'd look like they were having a good time fishing together. What I'm really thinking of doing is whacking off a piece and framing it for a picture.

This one looks like my river again. It's called Green Wildwings. I don't know if it would go well enough with the above border to be able to put the two together.

I like this map of Florida pattern that plays loose with real geography. I didn't buy any of it, but I can see it in the dining nook of a bright and sunny kitchen.

And here's something completely different. I don't know where I would put it, I just like the colors.

My mother had a lot of rental houses and decorated them with wallpaper instead of painting everywhere, so she got a lot of practice. She could really do a good job. I know how she did it, from observation, but am not nearly as good at it. Mr. Troutbend and I have a tacit agreement that we are never going to try to hang wallpaper together again, so whenever I think about doing it, I know that I'll be on my own.
