Tearing Down the House

The cabin demolition is proceeding at a snail's pace.

This is the stuff they are rescuing.

Eloise caught this pygmy shrew today. It's so tiny, the size of your thumb, has a pointy nose. I suppose she wanted me to see it so she didn't eat it.

There was a partial eclipse of the sun today, and I tried to see it using the pinhole technique, but down here in the valley, the sun had gone behind the mountain before the eclipse set in.

Poor little shrew... Always something going on by you though!

Never saw a good eclipse. Not too bad, tho. Some years ago, my ophthalmologist scheduled his vacation to see a total eclipse in, I think it was, Hawaii. You guessed it, cloudy!

Laura, why is the cabin being torn down?

So was the little shrew allowed to go off into the wilderness uneaten? What cabin is that -- not one of yours I trust

The mighty hunter just caught something that I had never seen before. It is so little and the yard stick is a big help in allowing us to size it.

I never saw a shrew before, and it was such a cute little thing, the size of a baby mouse. I wonder where it was that she caught it.

Better off seeing the eclipses on TV--get a better view!!

That's for sure. The lunar ones are a lot easier, but they are frequently obscured by clouds.
