Pictures from My Recent Mini-vacation

I got a lot of information from the conference, and the beautiful setting was a bonus. The ski area - you can see the runs up there on the mountain - is Beaver Creek.

This is the living room of my suite, such a nice view of the mountain.

I missed the peak of the fall colors, but there was still plenty to see.

Found this in my old emails. It's an old one, but it had me going for a moment:

"I came across this exercise to build muscle strength in the arms and shoulders.

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have
plenty of room at each side. With a 5-lb. potato sack in
each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and
hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full
minute, then relax. Each day, you'll find that you can hold
this position for just a bit longer. After a couple of
weeks, move up to 10-lb. potato sacks, then 50-lb. potato
sacks, and eventually try to get to where you can lift a
100-lb. potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight
for more than a full minute.

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each
of the sacks, but be careful!"

That's an oldie but a goodie!
The place looks beautiful--it has been so long since I have been anywhere near a mountain--the closest has been a landfill--I forget how majestic they are

We drive past there a couple of times a year, and it was nice to have the opportunity to stay and enjoy the scenery.

Sounds like my kind of exercise!

Today I'm going to pick up all the garden hoses out of the yard and store them away. That will be aerobic.

Very funny. Also, I wouldn't know where to get a potato sack. I'll try it with iron weights, though. A minute is no problem. A half hour, that I think might take some training. I'll try it. xx, T.

I'm going to do it with cans of food - tomatoes or peaches and work up to 10 pound bags of sugar; we have several bags left over from hummingbird season.
