This was taken two days after the snow storms - it was fairly warm in the sun.
Here is how much snow got on the palm next to our garage door. When we moved into this house in 2003 this palm tree was about 2 inches peeking out of the dirt and since has grown to more than six feet. We have to trim it back all the time so it won't scratch the cars.

During the snow we went out many times to knock the accumulation off the tree branches.
This is our street from the other direction than the last one I posted a few days ago. Notice that tall palm tree where the side branches are weighted down.

We call the people who own the blue pickup "the neighbors" - they are the ones where I think the husband is a gang-banger and couriers contraband between Las Vegas and California every night. I used to think they worked for a janitorial service and cleaned offices at night, but that was too charitable. The house belongs to her aunt who lives across town somewhere, and they have no visible means of support except he's gone at least every night until 2 or 3 am. Their young children are nice, though, and the parents (mostly the mother) seem to work hard to give them a good life.
