This year the Star Trek convention is at the Rio.
For many years the Las Vegas Hilton had the Star Trek Experience exhibit and a casino area that was set up like the command deck of the Starship Enterprise. There were characters in costume all the time, and a cafe where you could order strange food. So that was a natural venue for an annual convention. However, this past year the Experience was closed and the costumes and props were auctioned off.
We are not Trekkies, but I would have loved being there to see all those crazy folks walking around.
Shatner charges a lot for his autograph.
