Snow

It's been three years since we got a big spring storm here, and last week's was truly big. 3 feet of heavy wet snow, too much for my small front end loader to deal with.

Snow sliding off the roof onto the driveway has created a 4 foot concrete berm in front of the garage doors, and I am going to try spraying it with hot water from the hot water heat boiler to bring it down some.

Meanwhile, the days are warming up to 52 degrees, so I am counting on some of it melting.

This is what it looked like at 4 am Wednesday, and the snow didn't stop until Thursday night. That traffic cone on the driveway was nearly buried.

18 inches of snow Thursday afternoon, 18 more that night.

It does look nice when it's somewhere else. This storm made the new, but I didn't know exactly where it hit. I think I can safely put the snow blower away, but I have to drain most of the gas before I walk it to the shed. Used it once this year and twice last year. I bought it in November of '22 and so far, I could have done without it! Happy spring!
