Pizza Expo News - Here's What's New

The pizza expo was in Las Vegas this past week, and here are some of the innovations:

Cone-shaped pizza crusts. Imagine the toppings crammed down in there.

Pizza box liner. The bumps let air circulate and keep it from sticking to the delivery box.

Italian fortune cookies.

Programmable dough mixer. Just add flour to the bowl, and the other ingredients are added at the right time. It even adds something to the water to make it the right hardness. It can hold 18 different programs for various types of dough, and it's password-protected so not just any fool can make the dough.

Fancy delivery bikes. They say these are good for a 2 mile delivery radius, especially vehicle-restricted college campuses and military posts.

Italian fortune cookies? There is something wrong with that idea. No pizza cones for me, either.

I wish they would have shown a pizza cone that was filled. And the fortune cookie idea seems pretty lame because it looks like the papers would fall right out.

I am trying hard to visualize eating a pizza cone. It would be even messier.

No thanks on the cone.Does not look inviting.

All that remains in my head is the guy in the pink shirt, hand on hip, purse in hand--sorry couldn't help it!!!

Not a purse. Shopping bag, full of samples.

It's the classic pose of skepticism, isn't it? He's probably trying to figure out why the machine requires a password.
