There's a lot of joking about what next for 2020 - Godzilla? and don't set your clock back because we don't need an additional hour of this year, but it's no joke - just an incredibly chaotic year. Compared to me, you sound really centered. Next time I'm stressed I'll think of you and tell myself "Jeremy's back there in Oklahoma acting all calm."

I think I started watching that, based on Martin's recommendation, but went off on another tangent. Right now I'm watching that chess one - Queen's Gambit.

I looked at the info for your state: "Pennsylvania voters can also vote before Election Day through a process called absentee in-person voting. The period for absentee in-person voting runs from Monday, September 14, 2020 to Tuesday, October 27, 2020, but dates and hours may vary based on where you live.
If you've voted at your polling place before, you don't need to show ID to vote."

It doesn't sound like mail voting to me because of the 'in-person.' I think you should try it - shouldn't be lines this early - worst case they turn you away to come back on election day. If you get it out of the way, you won't have to worry about if the weather's bad, or the lines are really long that day, etc. Best of luck!

Here in Colorado, the restaurants are still on limited seating and trying to figure out how to continue with outdoor dining because winter is coming.

I don't always remember my dreams, but when I do, they are entertaining.

These look like the same pictures you posted before, but I'm guessing it's different rain and different standing water.

Here's what our dear friend Honey Bugg, now living in Cheyenne WY wrote me about it:
"On Saturday here in Cow Snot the sky had a red tint and ash was in the air from the fires near here. The building smelled like an ash tray and it looked like frost on the outdoor plants due to the falling ash. I wondered if Yellowstone had exploded but then I thought nah...if it had I wouldn't be here to wonder if Yellowstone had exploded. This is one horrible year, lemme tell ya and I for one will be glad to see the back of it.

Mr. TBend has a vast collection of Sci-Fi vintage paperbacks - from that part of the used bookstores. He said he considers Lovecraft to be fantasy verging on horror, and that really fantasy IS horror when he thinks about it. When we were actively acquiring books, he collected by book number per publisher. Do you know what I mean? Each paperback edition has a little number, starting at 1 or something, (not the ISBN). They are stored in about 50 or more Xerox paper boxes in the Las Vegas garage. If I was there, and you wanted some books, I would sneak some out and mail them to you. I would say 'he won't even miss them' but come to think of it, he might be fully aware of what he's got, and really care. Even though he doesn't act like it based on never looking at them. And don't get me started on the 10 or boxes of Hot Wheels and Barbies from McDonalds Happy Meals.

With a name like Big Louie's it's got to be good. That check looks lower than you usually pay for meals out. Sometimes I look at how you describe a meal, and what you paid for it and seems high for what you got. Can't talk, though, Estes Park, being a tourist town, has high restaurant prices, and the quality isn't always great - some college kid warming up frozen food in the kitchen.

Tater tots is what we buy when we need cheering up. They make any meal a party, and it makes me happy just to see a picture of them.

There's a cute TV ad for Milano cookies. They always remind me of you.

That's really special that you get the random orchid blooming in a tree.

It reminds me of those years when there'd be a flu virus going around, and people would talk about how it seemed like it took forever to get over it and feel better again.

I will just say when I've baked blueberry pies in the past they didn't thicken up, so were a runny mess that still tasted okay. I think there is some chemical in blueberries that keeps them from thickening like some other fruits do. This has nothing much to do with the above, it's just something to say because I can't think of anything relevant.

It certainly perks up the week to spend time with someone whose life is as interesting as your helper.
