Remember how we used to get so mad at Randy Smith because he griped about fat women?
Social media can be a great equalizer because we can put out whatever image of ourselves we want to, but meet us in person, and we're not all slim and gorgeous and 30 or 40 years younger. It's too bad when people enjoy a person's online friendship and then they meet up, and the bubble is burst. Sending hugs.
I'm looking forward to finding out if he brings home a new car.
In the 1950s my dad used to trade in his car for a new one nearly every year. It was a big deal when all the new models came out in the fall because there were always design changes to make the new ones stand out from last year's look. Not the case any more - they change the look on an irregular basis, but there's always new safety features like 'stay in your lane' and auto parking that sound interesting.
Now I'm wondering about aromatic blooming houseplants - whether there is something about being outdoors that causes plants to have an odor. With winter coming, I put some of my outside herbs into pots and brought them inside. There is one plant that I don't know what it is, keep hoping it will bloom so maybe I can identify it. It doesn't look like a weed, but doesn't have an herbal odor. If it lives through the winter, I'll replant it outside next spring and see what happens.
Nice haircut, nice shirt!
I'm always interested in the yachts moored along there.
When I started blogging in this group (many, many years ago), I made an effort to post frequently, but as I've gotten older, I often decide it's too much trouble to try to describe what I'm thinking so there's not a bunch of misunderstanding, and in general I think: Why Should They Care? In other words, what I might post is not all that interesting. I don't post much on Facebook for the same reasons.
Congratulations, Martin!
I know the name ETA is because they ran out of the alphabet so had to go to the Greek alphabet, but it sounds like Estimated Time of Arrival. What a year! You're having nearly as much excitement as I have most of the time.
I don't see Part 1, but figured out what's going on from Part 2. Looking forward to Part 3.
Lookin' good, Kevin!
I'm counting on you to wish it into happening.
Surprisingly, Georgia has become very interesting. I would love to see a blue interruption to all the red down south.
Thank you for letting us know - I was just now looking at a map of decided states, and it depressingly shows Pennsylvania not decided yet, but tending toward the GOP. We've been through the wringer this year, and to take my mind off things, I'm going to wash the wildfire ash off my cars this afternoon.
Me neither (the news) - went out to a long lunch with a neighbor and now Netflix marathon.
I always learn something new when things go wrong, but a lot of the time I would have been just as happy for there to not have been the need. I think Jeri just got a new roof, so she must know a few roofers.
