Gift Wrapping Made Easy

Forget the paper, buy some gift bags and save yourself the headache!

Or if you are really cheap and want to be creative, try brown paper bags that you hand decorate.

Course you could just hand them the present, all they're going to do is unwrap it anyway! Don't be like my mom used to be "save the paper, save the paper" she'd say and then after she passed away, I found all this old yellowing paper. She never reused it! Geez!

Okay, stick your present in the bag and you're done! Easy!

Gift wrapping is a pain!

My M-I-L never, ever put your name on your birthday card's envelope so you could reuse it.
About ten years ago I made cloth Christmas gift sacks and told everyone they were only to be used between family members. No giving my bags away to friends or neighbours. I haven't seen any of those Xmas sacks since then.

Gift bags are the greatest invention! Even the least talented wrapper can make them look good.

Yep, put enough tissue paper in it and it works like a charm every single time!

I think that saving the paper behavior is a thing depression-folk did. They were brought up in the "don't waste anything" mindset. I must admit, I picked up some of the habits but over the years I dropped the ones that weren't all that worthwhile. Saving the paper fits into that category. We wrap, and any paper that gets removed here goes right into the fireplace insert! Merry Christmas!

My dad used to say save the paper all the time, but my mom never saved it. I just wrapped all of R's presents!
