I absolutely CANNOT find the perfect pillow. I finally threw my old trusty pillow away--(I won't tell you how long I've had it,) because a doctor on a radio talk show said dust mites and other little microscopic widges comfortably ensconced in your pillow can cause sinus problems and allergies and God knows what all. So out it went.
Well darlins' every pillow I've seen is big, really big and fluffy as if manufacturer's are vying to see who can stuff the most sh*t into a pillowcover. I want a firm, flat pillow--but they are not to be found. So I bought one of the big pillows and cut it open and removed about 2/3 of the stuffing. Despite being eviscerated, all I wound up with was a lumpy little fluffy pillow; unusable, plus, handling the stuffing caused me to sneeze and cough all night.
Dottie suggested buying a child's pillow--can't find one. After one miserable night I took an oversized fluffy towel and folded it to pillow size and stuck it in a pillowcase. That has worked very well. It's flat but bendable--not firm enough but it will do for now. Am I the only consumer in the world who likes a flat firm pillow and not one of those overstuffed monsters that can smother you??
