I listen to NPR every morning and when it gets repetitive, I turn to "The Rick and Bubba Show" just to annoy myself.
The subject this morning was the speech President Obama was going to have televised to school kids. Parents were up in arms and callers said they would pull their kids out of class rather than have them be "indoctrinated" by this speech.
I voted for Obama, I'm rooting for him, I'm wishing him the best. But regrettably, so far he has come across as being somewhat weak and indecisive and overwhelmed by the office he holds.
Parts of the speech he is giving sound hopeful and reasonable, but some of it was a little out there, like asking the kids to write how they could help him etc. Ha. All it takes is a little of that for the Bible Belt to get their panties in a wad and screaming "socialism!"
My president will find his footing (and better advisors) soon and needs to hangs in there, and think twice before giving any more speeches to kiddies whose parents listen to idiots like Rush Limbaugh.
