I recently sent a blogger a message asking why he hadn't posted a blog on mybloggers lately and he replied he's mostly on Facebook now.
My daughter, her husband, and grand daughter are all on Facebook and it seems to be a sort of addiction--at least for them. My daughter phones and says "Mom, what don't you get on Facebook??"
She tells me of postings our relatives make on Facebook; I know more about what my sister and neices are doing third hand than I ever did before they all got on Facebook. Nope, I'm afraid if I ever got on Facebook I'd feel compelled to mush around seeing what everybody was up to--meanwhile, my utterly boring life would have no flavor to add to this stew, and procrastination for everything else would get worse.
It's like seeing folks on their cell phones all the time, as if the phone had grown attached to their hands and their ears, and telling everyone exactly where they are and what they're doing every minute of every day. Nope, not for me the "tell all to the world" philosophy. Some things are better left unsaid and private.
