This is a great post, Sunny! I too feel like I should have my own way on most things. Unlike you, however, I was never very good in school until I reached college. Didn't like to be there. Wanted to be outside playing instead. (and I went on to become a teacher!) Also unlike you, I had, and still have, a very low self-image. (I work on it, but, believe me, it IS hard work!)
I really enjoyed reading this two-perspective analysis!
