Do you realize that volleyball is on EVERY night? Who would watch volleyball? There are 4 people, two on each side of the net. They hit this poor ball back and forth, usually with great force. Can you imagine being a volleyball? I can and it isn't a fun life. The best volleyball that I've known was named Wilson. He was cast on an island with someone who loved him. Can you imagine poor Tom Hanks watching Wilson being batted about like this?
Give me a sport like the rings any day. I saw an incredible showing of the rings. It's not on EVERY night the way that volleyball is. I think I've only seen it once. But those men... it's only men as far as I can tell... are awesome athletes. They have to hold a very hard position for at least two seconds. There was one guy who did a position that no one thought was possible. He did it, but the commentator said it was not perfect. I think his shoulders were a little too high or something like that. Well, if no one had done it before, how would he know how high the shoulders should be? Some of the commentators are dunces.
This isn't the guy who did the incredible feat, but I don't know the name of the guy or whether he won anything or not.
I missed the opening ceremonies of the Olympics which everyone said were spectacular... maybe I'll find that on YouTube somewhere. I haven't really looked for it yet. I have seen the two little girls that sang... Well, one sang and one synched. They were both cute... The people who were in charge of the selection were dunces, too. I saw the John Stewart piece about the little girls. I would have put it on here, but Stewart can use words that are a little strong... for a family blog. Is this blogsite listed as PG?
Well, I have seen the volleyball games... The women are in great shape (I'd never do that much work) and have practiced hard for these Olympics. Actually I've seen Misty and Kerri before. Just joshing Hayduke a little, because I read his piece before I logged on. Thanks for the topic, Jim! My blogging has run dry...
