More Snow

image
It started snowing during the night. It is 8:20 AM now and the snow continues to come down. The photo is of my "snow fence" just outside where I sit, staring resignedly at it. In about twenty minutes, I'm going to have to go drive in it,
not something I look forward to doing. Fortunately, I filled all the bird feeders yesterday and so the little guys have something to eat that's easy to get to.
The cats will go out later and leave their tracks in the snow. I was out before breakfast this morning, removing the accumulated snow from our vehicles.
Perhaps when I get home later this morning, I'll go for a walk and leave my own bootprints. Walking in the snow can be enchanting, I must admit, as long as there is no wind.
Happy Monday.

The photo is beautiful. I love snow. Yes, I know, I don't have to shovel anything. In New York, the aftermath after heavy traffic turned it to slush was not so good, but the beginning was wonderful. Would covering your vehicles relieve you of clearing every window with an ice scraper?

We have windshield covers which we forgot to put on... Duh! What we get once the snow melts away is mud, lots and lots of yucky mud.

Overnight rain and a "warm" front melted our snow. We should have today, tomorrow and part of Wednesday to enjoy it up to the mid fifties, then back in the Polar air.

About 85% of our snow had melted away prior to this latest arrival. Just when it was beginning to look alarmingly like spring...

The air was so dry here that snow showed on radar but didn't hit the ground until it was almost over. Now we'll get some freezing rain. Except for below 0 temps, this winter hasn't been too bad. My ole lady would want to take the truck (instead of the Yaris) if we had to go out in what you're getting. Good luck.

As you say, not too bad so far save a couple weeks of single digit cold. We both bought all-wheel drive vehicles when we moved here, so driving isn't too problematic.
