It's October 27th, where has the time gone? Well Pat and I have been busy, we closed on our house on Sept. 14th, and have been busy ever since.

The house was built in 1998, and is in really good shape. The original owners died within four months of each other, and the one son was the trustee, and put the house up for sale. He is a painter by trade from Massachusetts, and repainted the entire interior of the house. That was great, but only one problem. The color was a nice eggshell white, and pat wanted her own color in the bedrooms. I repainted the master, a light green, Seafoam Green type color. The one spare bedroom that is Jester and my private world, was painted a sort of khaki color. the gust bedroom is on hold till my arm gets better. (Arm story to follow!)

We also had new carpet put in the three bedrooms, the original carpet was starting to show its age. Let's see what else I have been up to,,,,,

New light fixtures in both bathrooms,
New toilets in both bathrooms,
New ceiling fan in the master bedroom,
New curtain rods in the master bedroom and the living room,
New mini blinds in the bedrooms,
New fixture for the bathtub in the guest bathroom,

Trim the Holly bushes in the front of the house, they were getting big and growing up to the side of the house, got to keep them away to keep bugs from getting into the house.

My neighbor has some Cedar trees on the side of the house that had branches over on my side of the property that had to be trimmed back, because we are getting a vinyl fence for the back yard to keep Jester happy, and there were some trees and brush in the back corner of the lot that needed clearing too.

The sprinkler system had two heads that were actually on the property of both neighbors, so I had to dig those up, shorten the line and cap them off till the fence is installed, then replace the heads.

This is where the arm goes out!!

I woke up on Friday morning, and my arm was killing me. I got into my doctor yesterday, and he said I had severe muscle strain. I got some pain medication and anti-inflammatory medication, and while I was there, I told him I have been waking up every hour on the hour. I received a Rx for some sleeping aid, and will give it a try tonight.

Today Pat and I have to go file our homestead exemption, to keep our taxes lower, and thanks to President Jug Ears as Buggs calls President Obama, we have a new check deposited for $8000. Yes we have not owned a home for over three years, so we qualified as a first time home buyer. It was nice of old Prez Obama to give us that house warming present.

I think we will be adding a screen room with some of that money, they are nice, when the weather cools some, you can sit outside and not be eaten alive by the mosquito's and other creepy crawlers here in Florida.
