I don't know what it is about my heritage or where I got it; but I have always had an overabundance of hair on my arms, legs, and--well, other places! Â I have to shave my legs every single day and use hair remover on my arms. Heck, I can get "five o'clock" shadow on my legs!! Well, okay! Maybe not, but I will shave again for an evening out.Â
Back when we still had to be prepped before having a baby, I remember a nurse shaving, and shaving, and shaving! She finally stopped, looked at me and remarked...."Wow! You just didn't miss a single spot, did you?" Â I was not amused! But, then, I was already in labor and that was long before the wonder of the epidural. If that's more information than you really needed, what can I say? Deal with it! It is what it is!
If I truly believed we were descended from the ape species, I would have to wonder if I might have been the missing link!!
Unfortunately, my granddaughters seem to have inherited this "hairy" little problem. Â
Now that Bailey has gone through puberty, she has begun the ritual of the "daily shave" Â However, what you have to understand about my sweet Bailey is that she is probably one of the most uncoordinated children around.
She, for instance, is still searching for the beat to every song she hears...a dancer she will never be!! Â Since she has hit the "shaving" plateau, the kid just cannot get the hang of it. Â She shaves her legs and misses more spots than she hits.
In spite of lessons from her mom, she just cannot seem to conquer "Leg Shaving 101". Â I know! Â I know! Â How hard can it be? Â That was my question too when Holly told me about Bailey and the ongoing "Saga of The Leg Shaving."
Since it embarasses Bailey, Holly offered to have her get her legs waxed; Bailey, who gets her eyebrows waxed, absolutely refused! Â I can understand; waxing is painful. Â So, in a final last ditch effort to solve the problem, Bailey is now undergoing laser treatments to have the hair removed. Â
She had the first treatment before they left for Hawaii, and she will have three or four more this summer.
Here's hoping that's the end of this 'hairy' little problem.
