Here in Reno the chaos is a bit better organized, but the driving seems to be the same all over. By the middle of November, the sprinkler and drip systems have been shut off and winterized, as are the motor homes and other vehicles that will usually not be used on a regular basis in the snow.

One simply doesn't shut down the heater and leave one's home. Even water in commodes can and does freeze, cracking the porcelain.

He said that I had potential cancer spots on my arm, face and scalp. He burned them with hydrogen and said that I have a mole on my chest that is questionable.

The mole comes off on this Wednesday morning.

Better roll the stone away and see if he has risen!

I hear tell that he is a might fine cat, a model of behavior for other cats.

Would be interesting to know if he has a cadre of 12 following him around.

I am in a quandary. On one hand, I know that a DC insider does not have the respect of the public and on the other, a neophyte like Obama will not have the background or influence at the federal level to have enough influence to affect change.

Note that neither Pelosi nor Reid were able to keep their promises regarding Iran. As a result, they have ignored their constituents and have gone along in order to get along.

Remember that the grand plans of both Carter and Bill Clinton were derailed, at least initially for Clinton, because they did not have experience in DC.

For me, another 4 years like the Carter years or the first term of Clinton are not acceptable.

Housing sure is in an interesting flux. Son Peter is interested in purchasing vineyard property with an eye to making wine as a secondary profession.

After personally spending my teen aged years on a farm/ranch, my heart jumps up into my throat as I fear for his financial future. However, it just might be a good time to buy as long as he can hang onto it and pay the property taxes for at least two years.

I talk to JoAnne about it, but am smart enough not to say much to him about it. You know how different the challange of youth really is.

Does make you wonder a bit doesn't it?

How far off is my own "reality?"

Hmm! Guess I should do some checking today.

There was another at 4.2 magnitude this morning early. We were not there so don't know about any damage. Neighbors have our phone number, so we will be kept informed.

We came down to Sacramento yesterday afternoon for business and because JoAnne has to work at the college today.

We are still having small ones this morning. Dogs are not responding to these. Either they are too small for their attention or they have gotten used to them.

Hope you ride out the storm safely and hope your animal friends only face the very minimum in stress.

We had a earthquake in Nevada at a small town called Mogul. It is only about a mile from our house in Reno. Need to wander up there and check the house

Ah, Dylan! I miss your mind! Sharp and incisive at time, you easily forced me out of my box. Not changing my POV much, but at least creating issues which still force me to evaluate "me" again and again!

If I "went gently into that good night," I would no longer be me.

Thanks for another ride Elk, it is exhilarating!
