Great Place!

Reno does have its negatives, with cold leading the charge especially in the winter. However, its libraries are great.

The one in Northwest Reno is great and it is open on Sunday afternoon. Amazing!

We have to head back into the SMOG this afternoon. JoAnne will work at the college tomorrow and I have meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday with a washing machine delivery on Friday.

We are entering a busy period with brother coming down from Oregon for his high school reunion and two nieces coming here for a two week stay from Australia.

JoAnne and her mom will take the two young women for a tour of the Grand Canyon and I will stay to care for the dogs and hold down the fort.

Here it is the beginning of Summer and I have purchased a snow blower. Neighbors think I am crazy and they are probably right.

I sure hope it does what I want it to. We we have a storage problem here and gas powered equipment is out of the question. Since I know very little about snow removal, an electric snow blower is an act of trust and belief.

Whoa! We just got a look at the housing market at Tahoe. Prices have really taken a dive. Not sure that any of them are a good buy at this point, but some of them are really nice.

Might be more interested, but somehow I don't think they have hit bottom yet. Gas prices have already numbed tourism and certain rental areas.

Ah, well! Interesting thoughts though.

Y'all take care hear?

Housing sure is in an interesting flux. Son Peter is interested in purchasing vineyard property with an eye to making wine as a secondary profession.

After personally spending my teen aged years on a farm/ranch, my heart jumps up into my throat as I fear for his financial future. However, it just might be a good time to buy as long as he can hang onto it and pay the property taxes for at least two years.

I talk to JoAnne about it, but am smart enough not to say much to him about it. You know how different the challange of youth really is.

Buying snow blowers off season is a great idea...prices are cheaper. With over a hundred inches of snow this past winter I have a lot of experience. Like yourself, I'm interested in seeing where this housing decline ends up. Enjoy!
