I left Reno on Tuesday. It was just in time! Snow came and made the pass more difficult yesterday and it looks like low temps and major snow for the next 4-5 days.
Sacramento isn't much better. We had major frost on the ground here this morning and the puddles were iced over. Not much better weather wise, but here I am.
Xmas shopping is done, but there may be some little trinkets that might catch my eye. You can be assured that JoAnne is more than deserving of any gifts I might get her.
We are seriously planning another trip with SPOOK. We went south the last time, so will most probably go north along the coast in late January. For sure, we will stay near the coast and as much away from the snow as possible. It looks like one of those years.
The dogs are doing fine. Neither particularly like the snow, but it is an experience for them. If the snow is very deep, they can't just walk. They have to bound in order to get anywhere.
Good thing they are house dogs. Neither would fair well outdoors in weather below freezing.
Have to admit though that snow brings a new beauty to the Nevada scene and makes a difference even here in Sacramento when the smog has cleared and one can see the Sierras with their snow caps.
We have sunshine here in Sacramento this morning but the weather people tell me that it is only 36 degrees here. Much better than the current 16 degrees in Reno, but still a bit chilly for these old bones.
If I don't get back on in time, pleas accept my wishes that you all have a great Christmas and a happy new year.
Y'all take care hear?
