We went to Brian's house yesterday afternoon. Basically, this was the beginning of the Xmas season for the Mouer family.
The food was great but the camaraderie was even greater. Bud was there and stole the show as the latest link in the family line.
There were many reasons for joy, but for me the greatest was that Brad got the job he wanted down in Orange County and he can be with his family full time rather than having to commute back and forth from Hawaii.
Can't say enough about the hospitality shown by Brian and Rhonda. Without a doubt, they are a class act that I should at least attempt to copy.
It is pretty cold here in Sacramento this morning. Weather folks predict rain, but it seems to be a bit cold for that.
We had hope of returning to Reno for a few days, but predictions for three straight days of snow in the Sierras will put a damper on that idea at least for now.
Christmas day will probably be at Peter and Laura's home. With the advent of the "new family" structure of "yours," "mine" and "ours;" you can bet that the organizational situation might become dicey.
Please understand that we shall try to play the role which will proved the least stress for the family and will minimize our participation based upon the ebb and flow of those things that may or may not become "issues."
Oh well! A new year is rising and we now have a grandchild to spoil.
Y'all take care hear?
