Ultimate Avengers: the Movie

Frozen in ice for more than 60 years, Captain America emerges and assembles a dream team of superheroes -- Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Wasp and Giant Man -- to save the world from evil in this original animated feature. With an alien force threatening Earth, the military revives Captain America in order to use him to create a new army of super soldiers that can protect mankind. But Captain American knows that won't be nearly enough.

2006 PG-13 71 minutes

2.75 stars (Dale-3, David-2.5). A bit slow and dull. Just couldn't get into the story...The voice acting was acceptable. The animation was better than average, but not in the league of big-studio production pieces (but then again, who would expect it to be).

The comic seeries this was based on has really struggled since it was first released. It is the only Ultimate series that has had that problem. They are currently on their 5th reboot of it. I had the same impression of the movie. Lots of potential, but....
