Lost in Translation

Two lost souls visiting Tokyo -- the young, neglected wife of a photographer and a washed-up movie star shooting a TV commercial -- find an odd solace and pensive freedom to be real in each other's company, away from their lives in America.

2003 R 102 minutes

3 stars. Didn't fully understand this film or the lost souls relationship. An odd movie..One part I did love is the misinterpretations and miscommunications...as a aspiring ASL interpreter I could totally relate to some of the mishaps! :)

I didn't like this at all--I am NOT a Bill Murray fan And Sofia Coppola is a poor director

It was ok but I just didn't believe the "romantic thingy" between the two of them.

I am a great believer in the potential subtlety of all movies - one has to watch the whole thing and hope that it will all come together by the end, but this one never came together for me.
