We liked this movie, too. I wish more people would see it. The ironic thing is that our government back then did what it could to eradicate it, and then after our car industry almost died from being a dinosaur, American car companies scrambled to come up with alternative fuel vehicles. Now maybe California can dust off those recharge stations.

that would be awesome if they could dust it off and move forward with this. I know it's all about $$$, control and power!!

The irony is that (according to some history books I have read) electric cars were quite successful in the early years of "horseless carriages." The current set-up of our automobiles tooke off primarily because the equipments used to make cannons and other large weapons of war in the mid-to-late 1800s could also make similar components for cars.
