Picking up where the Hollywood feature Gladiator left off, this program, produced in Rome, brings to life the origins of gladiatorial combat in the Colosseum. The greatest monument of all ancient Rome, the Colosseum was the setting for more spectacular terror, agony and horror than had ever been witnessed anywhere, before or since.

1.13 stars (Dale-1, David-1.25). Horrible, boring, bad graphics, not interesting at all. YAWN! Most of the footage is in sepia and it's very repetitive.
