We were lucky.. the hurricane didn't do as much harm as everyone expected. We only had one major catastrophy. We left the window in our bathroom open a smidge, and the wind came in and unrolled the roll of toilet paper all over the floor. I took pictures just in case the insurance company wants verification...



Actually, we were fine. A small willow tree in the back yard bent over, but we have straightened it, and put in some supports for it. We're hoping that will work. We also had a shutter out front that came lose and wobbled upside down, but we have already fixed that. We were lucky and didn't lose power, so we were able to see everything happening on TV. Rather a strange feeling..

We went out this morning and checked the area. A few streets on the bay are still flooded, and there are branches down all over the place, but that seems to be the worst of it. Power is still out down there too. The neighborhood is awash with the sound of chain saws! People are cleaning up, and life seems to simply go on..
