um the US is not really effected by this shortage.

In addition, while there is a global concern about shrinking rice supplies, there is no deficit in the U.S. rice market. In the NPR story, Greg Mathis, a representative of rice producers in the United States, stated that rice production in California and other areas greatly exceeds the demand for rice in the United States. He stated that most of the U.S. production is exported. Specialty rices, like Jasmine and Basmati, are a little different than long grain and short grain. According to one of the articles, rices is consumed within 100 miles of where it is grown. So with the exceptions of rices like Jasmine and Basmati (which are grown in Asian countries), most rice consumed in the United States is grown in the United States.

"China, Russia, Venezuela, are all drilling for oil very close to America's borders, where because of misguided and undereducated democrat liberal pseudo-environmental wackos,we are not allowed to drill. There is no real shortage of "oil", only a shortage of oil owned and controlled by American interests."-old Fat Guy I totally agree and that is a fact they are in fact drilling oil we are not allowed by our own tree hugging laws. We should be drilling both off the coast of Florida, Alaska and a couple other places. this is not to say we should not use this oil wisely while looking for alternative methods for fuel. If you do not believe it all it takes is a little research to know this is fact instead of believing what you want to believe or someone else's propaganda.

I do not know anything about this video or the guy in it because i do not watch video.
