My Name is Robert and I AM a Blogaholic

I've followed Beedith to mybloggers from bugster. Wherever she shall go I shall go. Wither you shall blog, I shall blog. the Book of Ruth is Beedith's favorite passage, because I dragged her all over the country on my career travails.

I have a job now so I don't know how often I'll get a chance to write. Or how often it will improve the silence. We'll see.

We bought a house in Tucson. I know we didn't buy at the top of the market but lord knows where the bottom is. I think people will always want to live in a nice house. What they can afford is another matter.

Beedith moves out in a week. I rejoined waist-watchers. Soon I'll have my wife to cook for me and my dog to walk me. So that will make it easier. I've been eating too much fast food on my own in Tucson.

We'll rent out the old house which is kind of a scary venture. I know the rent won't cover the cash outlays but there's some tax benefits. I just hope we get some normal tenants.

We are entering the snowbird migration season in Tucson. I haven't lived through a summer here yet. The trick is to stay indoors during the day and do all your business at dawn or dusk. It is warm enough for Beedith to sit outdoors so I can take Beedith and Tark to the same restaurant.

My dad was in the hospital a little bit but he is ok now and they have him in physical therapy. They think he'll have to be in assisted living. So we'll see what my parents wants to do. They are still living in the house I grew up in in Chicago. They can't do the stairs. Our bedrooms are just filled up with junk. They don't need another Chicago winter. But it's not my business.

Oops, forgot to say: pretty safe renting to a married couple from the air force base. It used to be if you rented through the personnel housing office, the military made sure your place got cleaned up well when they left. (Don't want the military to have a bad rep.)

Hello Robert! We have all been expecting you , knowing you would get here sooner or later. Good to see you posting again. Now that you will have your wifey and dog and other two cats back, you will find yourself with more to say than time to say it in.

This next part: Put it off until you are settled into your new house!:

Unfortunately, if you don't get involved with your parents now, there will come a day when they are too badly damaged for a seniors building. Plan now to not have to dump them in a barely functioning nursing home later. It's easier to plan that circus ahead!! Talk to a professional - likely a social worker with a specialty in gerontology, back where they live. (Ask Beedith she will know what kind of help they need.) Hugs to you and Beedith.

So very happy you've joined mybloggers.com so that we can add another layer of communication. I learned some very interesting things from your previous blogs. You're still me favorite husband. Only 33 more days.
