School Days

Today was a day off school for all those students who have met the 95% attendance rate and completed all their work in class. So I am sitting here at home writing on my blog...not the most effective use of my time because I could probably be studying right now.

I slept late then went over to CD Exchange. I bought myself a few CD's: Queen, The Jam, Crowded House, Spliz Enz, Jeff Buckley, and Snow Patrol. I'm going to try and learn a few more Jeff Buckley songs on my guitar. I will post a few videos of me playing when I upload them to my computer. I also spent an hour with my dog, Riley. We went for a walk, which was great fun. We got a paper and an ice-cream.

Last night my car was broken into while I was at work. The only thing the thieves took was my backpack which only had two school books in it. That wasn't the greatest night of my life but I must admit it was kind of exciting.

And tomorrow is gonna be the best day, because my aunt is coming up to visit. She lives in Heathrow, FL and only visits once a year. For my Birthday this year, she bought me a great book. It was a book called "MYSECRET, a PostSecret book" which is filled with personal and deeply intimate messages from teens and early 20's that reveal their most secret of secrets. There are some really thought-provoking secrets and some that just make you think of all the intolerance there is in this world.

Yesterday I applied for my Student Loan for next fall. It was such a long winded, mind boggling process (haha if you re-arrange boggling it spells blogging).

That's it for now.

I like some of your music choices. I dont know Spitz end and Jeff Buckley, but I am very fond of Queen and Snow Patrol. Is it possible to download songs very easy in USA? Here its quite common to dl them. A Dutch band I am very fond of is called Racoon. Try: https://racoon.nl/ when u click on the UK-flag you get the english version. On tab discography you can listen to some songs. My favorite still is "love you more"on the cd called Another day. I dont know if you know Armin van Buuren but he made a trance version of that song.

When I was in school, skipping was more fun when it wasn't allowed. Hope you had a great day. Sorry about your car getting broken into.

And what flavor ice cream did Riley have??
Where is Heathrow>>> Close enough to Ft. la-Dee-da that you should think of visiting her and then hopping down here?
Sorry, I know you don't want to hear about the 'old days' BUT getting rewarded for going to school??? We got punished if we missed a day. Oh you kids have it so easy these days--that is said sarcastically!!!

Hate to hear that your car got broken into..that sucks. Are you going to have to pay for the books because of this? Sure hope not. Good luck with the loan process, I remember having to fill out all of that for my son.

Years ago, my car was broken into. Stolen was a cloth grocery bag full of neatly folded, cloth grocery bags I got for free from the local grocery store and five or six CDs for little kids (nursery songs, Barney, etc). I would have loved to see the thief's face when he got a good look at his haul.

That so totally bites about someone breaking into your car. It definitely could be worse, though.
The MYSECRET book sounds interesting.
Best of luck with the loan.
Sorry. I had a hard time finding you on here.
