I got to have a little bit of a change at work today. One of the ladies who works on the front desk where people check out books had to go home sick so I got to work there for a good chunk of the day. I always like to work there. I think it is mostly because it is something different from what I normally do.

I really like to just let my personality shine and work with the patrons, and it really happens on the most basic level on the front desk because that is where you get to greet everyone who comes through the door. We get a chance to joke around with the kids and have conversations with the adults as we check out the books and movies and other things they are looking to take home with them.

Overall, it turned out to be a really fun day, which is great because it was the first day back with a full shift since my vacation.
