It Ends in a Week

At this time next week, a lot will have changed. The polls will have closed on the East Coast, which means it will be the start of the excitment over which state really does go which way in the Presidential Race. To be honest, in either case, I think things will be looking up since we will be getting rid of the Shrub. I definitely have known who I was going to select in the voter's booth for some time. He wasn't necessarily my first choice, but after the primaries, I felt I could vote for him with confidence. Don't get me wrong, I realize that he has his faults, but we agree on more things than the other guy. I vote on the issues and where the candidates stand on them as well as who I think will be better. (That means I respect everyone else's opinions, too!) I will be voting for:

We will also get to see what happens in Congress. How blue will it end up? I know that we probably won't see any change in RI's representation so we will remain true blue.

Even though I am way over in RI, I will also be keeping an eye on California and the results repating to Proposition 8. Will the state once again take away a right that ws given to some of its citizens. I can't help but wonder if RI will head in the direction of legalizing same-sex marriage. For those of you familiar with our part of the country, you will notice that we are surrounded by states that now have legalized same-sex marriage. I can only hope. Though, I have a feeling that if Proposition 8 passes, it will put off the possiility for some time.

And finally, I will probably be chewing my nails off for the final election I will be watching. It will be a local one. Today, my final set of ads came out. Here is what they looked like:

Think of it as being a full-page ad. I have to admit that I am starting to get really nervous. I know that I shouldn't since whatever is meant to happen will happen. I know it is just last minute nerves. It is normal to be that way. The good news is that I should probably know the results before going to bed that night.

If nothing else, it will really be an exciting election.

I still love your ad! And I'll do a happy dance when you win!

Woow, feels good reading this post. You are ready for it I notice. I assume we are able to vote by internet as well lol. Good add btw. Good luck buddy I keep my fingers crossed for you.

well, ya know I got all my fingers and toes crossed for you. Mebbee you and I can both have victory parties. Concerning gay marriage....I think its a shame that there is even a need to put propositions such as this on the ballot. Just let people marry who they want to, as long as they are both consenting adults. Time to get the gub'ment out of people's bedrooms and working on the real problems tha plague our land...like the economy, wars, unemployment etc.

I like this new version. More info about you (why you?) and less focus on buses. It's hard to read that small, but it looks like a good list of youth activities and community involvement through the library system.

Is Ray still driving a bus?
