This is probably the collection of essys that Sedaris is best known for. It pulls together a number of tales drawn from his experiences with his family. His family is quirky but normal. It is clear that he loves his sister.
Basically, the tales present the same kind of funny stories that we all have to share with those around us. They are presented realistically, and I often found myself laughing out loud. Some of the stories are not as strong as others, but they are never horrible. I would definitely recommend this ride down memory land that Sedaris is willing to share with his readers.
