I am sorry that I have been a little skimpy with the personal blogs lately. Things have been really busy for me. To be honest, I am feeling more burnt out than I think I have ever been before. It is not really just one thing, but really being involved in too much. We have been having a fundraising activity each month for the Friends of the Library group. The election kept me busy. My class has been particularly work-intensive (and a little frustrating on a personal level because of a few of the students). I am back to working my school year schedule, which means I only get every other Saturday off, and most of those days end up being dedicated to one of my other activities.
So, as a result, I just haven't had it in me to be particularly creative when it comes to things to write about. In fact, I just tend to want to totally ignore the computer when I can. What has been really hard is just the total lack of any "me" time.
The good news is that things are really starting to settle down. As you know, the election season is done. Class is starting to wind down and the fundraisers are coming to the end of their run.
The past few nights, I have either been tied up with class stuff or I decided to be totally selfish and jump into the World of Warcraft. It turned out to be a good choice. Getting into the fantasy world and killing a bunch of baddies really has been helping to deal with some of the stress that has built up. It was loads of fun and actually a nice change since I have not had time to do that since last February.
I just feel bad that it meant I didn't do any blogging. Sometimes, you just have to do what you have to do, though.
We'll all be ready for you when you're ready for us.
