Bad News for My Sister-out-of-law

My sister-out-of-law got some bad news when she went to work. She was laid off. She worked in an industry that is probably really unstable in our economic climate. She was the office manager for a company that did laser hair removal. This type of procedure is really not something that people think is a priority when money gets tighter.

She actually was taking it pretty well. It sort of stinks because she had almost left a couple of times recently, but they had talked her into staying. The good news is that she can collect unemployment, but she really likes to work.

The question will really be if she can get something new before that runs out. The good news is she will ge tto spend more time with her 5-year-old daughter.

Medical office manager would fit too.

Office manager should be a portable job. A good one is hard to come by. If they talked her into staying, she must be good, so should be able to move to a different position.

what she is doing.

I'm afraid this is going to happen a lot--first the non-priority jobs and thenh, like here, teachers are being let go under the pretense they don't ahve the money for smaller classes as mandated by law so they don't need so many teachers!
